Rev. Nancy T. Lee, Ph.D., RN
Executive Minister Rev. Dr. Nancy Lee is the Executive Minister at the Community of Hope. Rev. Lee served as the Minister to College Ministries at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington, MD under the pastorate of Rev. Dr Grainger and Rev. Dr. Jo Ann Browning. She organized, implemented and evaluated the College Family (CFAM) ministry in which hundreds of college students received educational, spiritual and physical support during their college experience. Rev. Lee served in the Comfort and Healing ministry in which she facilitated workshops on Caring for the Caregiver, and was very instrumental in the Breast Cancer Awareness ministry.
Rev. Dr. Lee’s community service includes utilizing her skills and expertise as a workshop facilitator and seminar leader of dementia training programs for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Metropolitan Washington. Additionally, She serves as a member of the Delegate Council of the National Interfaith Coalition on Aging, and served as a member of the Advisory Board of Home Care Partners under the DC Office of the Aging, She presently has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Nexus Healthcare, Fort Washington, MD. Her professional memberships include: Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses, American Nurses Association, DC Nurses Association, the International Mentoring Association, and Delta Sigma Epsilon Honorary Society.
Rev. Lee is a native of Washington, DC. After graduating from Dunbar Senior High School, she pursued a career in professional nursing and graduated from Bellevue School of Nursing in New York City. Rev Lee received a BS degree in Public Administration, summa cum laude, from Bowie State College, a MA degree in Human Resource Development, with honors, from Marymount University, and a MA degree in Religious Studies, with honors, from Howard University School of Divinity. She received the Ph.D. degree in Organization Communication with a minor in Health Communication from Howard University School of Communication and Culture, Her focus of research was “Caring for the African American Caregiver”.
Rev Lee’s expertise has garnered her nominations for awards through several civic and nursing associations. Rev Lee resides in Fort Washington, MD with her husband of 41 years, Orlando W E Lee. She is the proud mother of two sons, Rev. Tony Lee and Rev. Bill Lee. In everything she gives God the glory and declares Philippians 4:13 her personal testimony (“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”).
